When we eat our body breaks down everything into glucose — sugar which is the fuel for cells.

In order to break down the fat, the stomach will help with breaking it down to a certain level. Then we need help as well with the breakdown of fat from bile.

What is bile? Your gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ located under your liver that stores and releases bile. Bile is the fluid your liver produces that helps digest fats in the food you eat. (https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/body/21690-gallbladder)

Bile helps reduce cholesterol by cleaning the fat in the cells. In order to have bile you need your liver to be functioning properly otherwise, gallstones are created. Gallstones are the crystallization of cholesterol. (https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/gallstones)

How does the liver & pancreas work? The liver and pancreas control the blood sugar.

Liver controls blood sugar when we are not eating. The liver will put sugar into the blood through a hormone similar to insulin -IGF- using stored sugar from muscles. The liver does this to balance the sugar needed.

Pancreas controls blood sugar while we are eating by producing insulin, lowering the blood sugar by taking the sugar out of the blood. To store sugar you need potassium.

How to stop craving sugar? With low potassium you crave sugar because you can’t store the sugar. We need 7 cups of vegetables / day which contain potassium in order to store sugar.

When you cannot store sugar, you have low sugar levels and crave it. However what you should consume is potassium. On a daily basis, you would need 10 bananas a day or 7 cups of vegetables a day. https://www.kidney.org/atoz/content/potassium
